About This Bag
Chanel’s distinctive ‘Chocolate Bar’ tote: black leather quilted into bold, raised squares, with interlocking CC motifs pressed into the leather. Structured, spacious and unmistakably Chanel, it is a tote that reads as a handbag rather than a carry-all.
Market Reception
The Chocolate Bar line is a sought-after vintage Chanel silhouette — collectors look for the deep, even quilting and the embossed CCs, and well-kept examples are increasingly hard to find. Black remains the most versatile and most requested colour on the resale market.
How to Style It
A day-to-evening bag: it holds a full day’s essentials and still looks right at dinner. Wear it on the shoulder with a wool coat in winter or a silk dress in summer — the black quilted leather goes with everything.
